I’m so excited to share the results of our long-running project. Wonder what happened when we (unexpectedly) removed Nkx2.1-lineage neurons from the lateral septum? Well, it started like that, then grew and grew… Here’s the pre-print - we look forward to any and all feedback!

🧵When and how does the striatum impact learning? Postdoc Kim Reinhold trained mice to reach for food pellets. They didn't know when the food was available so they had to reach randomly. One day, we provided a cue telling them the food was there. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

we're planning record minis from rat dissociated neurons grown in 225osm neurobasal media. What's the best ACSF recipe to avoid the osmolarity shock? is it better to slowly exchange the media for ACSF as it's done with iPSC cultures? Any other tips? Thanks!! #ephys
