1/ Awhile ago, on a triage call: “I’ve got a guy here, pretty young, came in looking terrible. GCS 4, we intubated him. Scan shows a big bleed. ICH score 4. Not sure much you’ll be able to do, but need to transfer him.” A #tweetorial about the ICH score. @medtweetorials

Here's a fun story about the earliest known neurological text: the Edwin Smith Papyrus. #histmed #NeuroTwitter #NeuroHistory Edwin Smith, born in Connecticut, lived in Egypt in the late 1800s. An antiquities dealer, he bought a papyrus in 1862 that he was unable to translate.

Yes. We've definitely seen that. The patient from the image above felt his hands were no longer ‘his’ hands. This aligns with collaborator Guillaume Herbet et al showing anterior precuneus lesions alter bodily awareness. academic.oup.com/brain/article/…

My main point in showing this case report from the lit is to remind all that with prior sinus or pituitary surgery, skull base/ facial fractures, or congenital abnormalities of skull or face, place oral or nasal feeding tube with live fluoroscopy or seek alternative tube options
