Ice Fishing is officially open! Who doesn’t love to fish on a frozen pond? Students measure and weigh each fish to see if they can keep or throw them back.After cleaning their catch, students grilled their fish and ate their fish dinner. #prekmagic #loweryproud

PreK scientists can conduct experiments. We predict outcomes, gather information and discuss data. Experiment 1. How can we transform a liquid to a solid with paint? Answer change the temperature! Ice paint anyone?? #prekmagic #loweryproud

How can animals live in the winter? PreK identifies that animals can adapt to cold weather in many ways. Penguins have a special wax coating to keep their feathers dry. Students loved checking their own results! #prekmagic #loweryproud

Todays Snow adventure: travel on an Arctic cruise to explore and identify a wide variety of winter animals. #prekmagic #loweryproud

Steam Friday challenge: build an igloo! Students loved building a giant igloo as well as their personal marshmallow igloos! #prekmagic #loweryproud

Do you want to build a snowman? We did! Students built, named and decorated in cooperative groups snow people. We then voted on the class favorite. Cowboy Snowman won with the most votes! #prekmagic #loweryproud

Curriculum night at Lowery! Families explored many math and literacy stations. Students were able to explore real construction vehicles and received a book! #prekmagic #loweryproud
