Following the recent completion of extensions to platforms 2 & 3, we will now undertake the same activity at platforms 4 & 5.   Extending platforms by 26m enables longer trains of up to eight carriages to use station – providing more seats for passengers. #GQS

During platform closure, engineers will dig out sections of concourse, rebuild sections of platform walls, lay new track & connect to existing infrastructure, extend overhead power lines, install coping stones, and carry-out re-surfacing works. #GQS
