Well, after a lifetime dreaming about it, I finally saw the northern lights. It was even more incredible than I imagined. Luke Meredith and I teamed up to take the photos which wasn’t easy as we spent most of our time just watching the show!

Our ERC Synergy project will begin on 1st June, so we took the opportunity to meet up at the Diamond Synchrotron today and meet the scientists working at the soft x-ray microscope at Beamline 24.
