i wanted to open up a convo about artists who find their sound, and then either A.) are pressured to continue exploring that sound and not evolve or B.) are seen as stale because they continue building this soundscape “world” and don’t really evolve outside of it

i wrote a script that finds a random youtube video and downloads a tiny fragment from the middle and generates a looping sample and then repeats the process over and over until your hard drive fills with garbage

such a useful script. managed to get it running on my own computer and made this cool garage loop out of some of the results

it's crazy how good this song is, it even sounds gorgeous played with a bad soundfont and with no rubato. like clair de lune is a little cliche at this point but it's rly a masterpiece
