Former teacher perspective: It's a trap to get sucked into the "teachers are heroes" narrative. If schools reopen & teachers die, I guarantee we'll hear ppl (namely politicians) say things like "that teacher was a hero, they gave their lives" etc. No. Reject this, now and later.

Call up a friend or text them and tell them how much you miss them and love them. Do this with someone you haven’t even talked to in awhile too. A small little conversation goes such a long way for someone.

If you guys can send up a prayer for me today, I am really hoping for good news.

To the people working out in a mask, props to you. I had to do a 20 min running workout with it on for class and I nearly passed out because it was so hard to breathe.
