The Redheugh Bridge will be closed to all vehicles on Sunday 10 August 2025 between 6am and 6pm. This is to allow for the first phase of its principal inspection, a very thorough survey of the structure.

We have a service suspension from Heworth to Pelaw/Hebburn in both directions due to a failed train at Heworth station. We have ticket acceptance on Go North East buses between Heworth and Hebburn, including 25, 26, 27, 35, and 36. ^SF
