Jokes aside, the respect I have for Siraj is unbelievable. To run in like that for 5 consecutive tests, pure heart, grit and determination — special cricketer. And the bigger the moment, the better he bowls. It’s incredible.

This account isn’t even monetised, and even it was, I think people severely overestimate how much you can make on “X”. Never once have I cared to check, even on my main. I love cricket and want to talk about it. That will continue regardless of who plays whom.

They’d have to find the right way to enforce it, but I think test matches (and only test matches) should allow for an injury sub. 5 days is a very long time and a lot could go wrong. It completely takes away from the game that sides could be left a man down.

All jokes aside, I don’t think it’s a given that we’d dominate the Ashes. The Australian top order is a mess. And if England have a fully fit squad, there’s definitely more balance there. I still fancy us, but don’t expect a crazy 4/5-0 blowout.

As great a cricketing nation as India is, it baffles me how toxic their fans are. At least on social media, it’s like people are more obsessed with allegiances to players than their actual country. Why would you compare and undermine players, great players, within your own?

I’m all for smaller test nations getting opportunities, but what are we doing here? Zimbabwe have no business playing the likes of NZ and SA. Even developmentally, this just isn’t helpful.
