Teachers should not have to pick up a second or third job to survive. If we want to appreciate teachers, we need to raise salaries for teachers nationwide.

We stand up to extremist politicians because we know the truth in what Dr. King taught us: “True peace is not merely the absence of tension; it is the presence of justice.” In all that we do—in every classroom throughout our nation—we must fight for that presence of justice.

It is not enough, but it is encouraging that the temporary ceasefire will allow for humanitarian efforts to bring relief to Palestinians in Gaza and the release of Israeli and other hostages.

This video has gone completely viral on Instagram - more than a million people have watched it! - and for good reason. There is so much power in speaking up and telling the truth about what we are facing as educators!!

I really wish rich, out-of-touch folks who nothing about education would just stop. 1) Read the fine print. THIS IS A GOVT VOUCHER PROGRAM. Voucher programs have not been shown to improve results for poor Black children because most cannot get into high-quality private schools.

LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!!!!!! Congrats Fairfax Education Association ! This opens up a pathway for educators, students, parents and community members to have yet another powerful venue to fight for the supports our students and their educators need and deserve!
