Conservation of snakes is only possible when people shed their hatred towards snakes. To overcome such hatred, regular sessions on snake conservation issues are being held in Nepal by our team. Thanks to #KACF Nepal Conservation and Research Center #BRCS

We are pleased to have contributed to various local conservationists and snake rescuers across Nepal by providing "Venomous snakes of Nepal" posters for outreach sessions that aims to ID potential snakes involved in snakebite.

World Lizard Day is observed on 14th August each year to celebrate and raise awareness about lizards and their ecological roles in the ecosytems.

Doctors at Dhulikhel hospital also found our poster "Venomous snakes of Nepal" useful to ID snakes. This could help doctors and related staff for awareness and enhance preparedness and deal with snakebite incidents.

These photos I took in Shuklaphanta National Park (c. 1996), the beginning of my PhD field years. This park was less known, a balanced ecosystem & full of surprises. One morning, I followed a call in distress & found a Chital grabbed by a python. The next day, it was all gone!
