You’re being forced into PBM-owned mail-order and specialty pharmacies. Not for safety. Not for savings. For profit. #PBMMissionFailed #FixPBMsNow

Today, HB 1244 passed the House on a 93-0 vote, and now moves to the Governor. This bill lifts the cap on what the State of Tennessee can fine PBMs for non-compliance with the law. Thank you for your support, Shane Reeves and Brock Martin! #AdvocacyInAction #PBMReform

NEW #DoPoliticsBetter #Pod! podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/rea… @ReaganEPerry lost a leg in 2024 but she didn't lose her voice. The daughter of former #ncpol senator Jim Perry talks to Skye David & me about her health journey & why she's fighting for others living with limb loss.

Amputees should have access to movement, sport, and the community that comes with both. Special prosthetics are needed to do this. Insurance only covers one prosthetic for walking - anything else is deemed “not medically necessary.”

Photographed by THE Kevin Howell about one month before my amputation. Amputees deserve access to sport-specific prosthetics. This bill impacts a very small portion of the population - but would still change so many lives for the better.

I hate to say this, but I can’t see any real lasting solution to America’s healthcare crisis without completely getting rid of Obamacare (aka the Affordable Care Act). It improved coverage but not care. It was the result of complete regulatory capture from health insurance

"CVS did not agree to pay back the estimated overpayments, saying the HHS OIG’s $7 million estimate was flawed and that OIG has no statutory authority to ask for a refund." is that an option for everyone? can pharmacies refuse to pay back insurers? healthcaredive.com/news/cvs-medic…

Both the NC House and Senate unanimously passed the SCRIPT Act today that provides needed transparency and accountability in our prescription marketplace. I deeply appreciate Rep. Heather H Rhyne and her work. This is a win for NC, small businesses, and better access to care.

From Wendell Potter: "The seven biggest publicly traded health insurance companies collectively made $71.3 billion in profits...all while millions of Americans continued to skip their medications, rationed insulin and delayed care due to insurers’ out-of-pocket demands."
