As part of our response to climate change, we have invested in two #Hagglunds off-road vehicles. These sturdy vehicle can help our wildfire teams access difficult areas with ease, and can carry firefighters and even water to wherever we need them. #ClimateChange #Wildfires

The fire warning signs are back up and it’s really dry out and about round Goathland. We attended the Fen Bog fire and saw the impact on the nature reserve. Please be careful. ❌🔥 bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan…

This issue is now resolved. As an aside though it was impressive how quickly 999 services communicated this issue (on a Sunday morning) via social media etc and provided alternative contact methods. Perhaps its just the feeds I read but it was everywhere! bbc.co.uk/news/uk-660123…

There’s been a national issue with 999 lines this morning but we have been advised that they are now working. Please dial 999 in an emergency.

A fascinating and insightful article. Hoarding is an issue faced regularly by Firefighters as the article describes ‘You reach a point where you can’t live your life’: what is behind extreme hoarding? | Housing | The Guardian theguardian.com/society/2023/j…
