Councillor Carr, however, is almost right, outlining 3 criteria: "project does meet our policies, it has our public support, and meets public needs". She's missing the all-important "someone wants to build it" and "can get built". #vanpoli #affordablehousing #vanre

Always a good time being told I'm not gay enough to make gay jokes. Or give commentary on Vancouver's gay history. Which ... I have two problems with.

As a kid, the Hope Dairy Queen meant seeing family soon. Reunion. It came to mean a convention-end hangover, a grueling midnight drive beginning, the kindness of good friends, the majesty of chainsaw carving + my 30th birthday. Staphdown is gross. Deus gratia Regina lactis.

The Cambie Report The Vancouver Politics Podcast introduced us to the urbanist-preservationist axis. I'd make a case for a fun-no fun axis as well. #vanpoli Marissen: more homes more fun Stewart: more homes some fun Sim: few homes more fun Coupar: no homes no fun Hardwick: no homes ✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻 no fun ✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻

Of course the beaches are easier for the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation to clean if there are fewer logs. Fewer logs means fewer users. I bet the parks would remain cleaner too if all amenities were removed. Please restore beach logs to pre pandemic levels.

Colleen Hardwick spent the election day driving around in a caravan of vehicles. The perfect metaphor for a car centric city. #vanpoli
