When most people think about "Graphic Design", they usually think of posters, websites, icons, typefaces, etc. There is an entire world of graphic design that gets no fanfare, but it underpins modern industry. I get the feeling that it is a dying art.

"For most people, the cause of a mistake matters. The story of a child dying because an algorithm made a mistake is more poignant than the story of the same tragedy occurring as a result of human error. The difference in emotional intensity is translated into a moral preference."

I highly believe most of what is now defined as "Future funk" is just lazy speedups of 80's music. Some exceptions remain however: open.spotify.com/track/5nYVOxeP… The most prominent difference is that it CLEARLY credits Yagami. One of the first tracks that brought me into the genre :D

There's a whole book on the concept of irrelevant transient noise affecting human judgement (and you could perhaps identify social media anchoring as a noise on deciding which country you'd migrate to). The book is fittingly called "Noise". It was Kahneman's last book.
