#ADE2023 kicks off with a plenary talk by David Evans on improving teacher quality. He showed compelling statistics on the (positive) implications of improving teacher quality on student learning.

Exciting field experiment by Sanval Nasim (Colby College) and Andreas Stegmann (University of Warwick) to study whether concerns to preserve an anti-liberal self-image affect low-cost, private school owners’ willingness to explore a collaboration with a liberal Pakistani NGO.
