Today, members of the Resources and Development Committee met with Southern Ute Indian Tribe (SUIT) leadership including SUIT Vice Chair Marty Pinnecoose and members of the tribal Council. The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen nation-to-nation relations.

Today, the 25th Navajo Nation Council commemorates the 157th anniversary of the Navajo Treaty of 1868, a defining moment in the history of the Navajo people and the government-to-government relationship with the United States.
