Absolutely thrilled to be on the shortlist for the Nature Chronicles prize. What makes me happiest is that a piece on Indian trees-- a particular group of Semal trees, standing on the side of a dusty, noisy road-- has touched so many. Thank you, The Nature Chronicles Prize 2025/26 and the Jury.

Over the moon to be shortlisted for the The Nature Chronicles Prize 2025/26 for my essay Into Each Life, Some Rain Must Fall - which is mainly about crying, hens and wasps.

Well this is wild! I'm so thrilled that my essay weaving the history of Scottish kailyards with the life and death of my little tenement garden has been shortlisted for the The Nature Chronicles Prize 2025/26.

Very happy that my essay 'Minibeasts' has been shortlisted for the The Nature Chronicles Prize 2025/26. It concerns parenting, care, anxiety, wonder, loss, and various small creatures. Many thanks to everyone who helped me with it. @drkierachapman School of English - University of Leeds Katiuscia Campanello Kathryn Aalto
