Finally tracked down a recent CFD representation of the current IndyCar that has a cut plane near the height of the rear attenuator. A nice addition to enhance what I discussed in my Motorsport.com story regarding the lack of laminar flow across the sides of the rear attenuator.

Had an opportunity to watch U.S. Coast Guard operations out of Atlantic City recently, the MH-65E Dolphins they fly are quite stunning aircraft. #avgeek
