EAGLE 101: GETTING A LIFT Eagles use two types of lift to aid flying: "thermal" lift involves riding currents of warm, rising air (think sunny days), and "orographic" lift involve riding air currents forced upwards when they hit a cliff face like bluffs (pictured). 🦅👍#OnlyinMN
