On a serious note, that's the problem with the Ukraine situation. There's no need to be hostile. All that's needed is to politely but firmly say "no, you can't take over our country".

I've just noticed that the Royal Society of Biology have protected their tweets. That seems a bizarre thing for a Royal Society to do. Anyone know how long they've hidden their tweets? Is this anything to do with their bizarre refusal to accept the biological reality of sex?

Today is the 60 year anniversary of the first episode of Tomorrow's World which I'm proud to have worked on. Such a shame the BBC isn't doing anything to mark the event. Even more shameful there's no regular science show on mainstream UK television.
