We’re expanding the Canadian Dental Care Plan. Starting today, Canadians aged 55-64 can apply. In the coming weeks, applications will open to Canadians aged 18-54.   Because of this plan, millions of people can now afford to see a dentist — some for the first time in decades.

Watching PM Carney's 1st press conference now (while sitting on a plane at 30,000 ft!) First impressions: ✅statesmanlike ✅some nice words about opposition leaders ✅US & cost of living focus ✅ building houses, keeping dental etc Decent start. #cdnpoli cbc.ca/news/politics/…

Carney avoids answering question - "are you seeking MPs from other parties to cross the floor?" Interesting Offers by-election asap for Pollievre. Smart.

Nathan Cullen (@nathancullen) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Carney weighing in on national symbols (re inviting the King to open Parliament) and how Quebecers might feel about it. Not great territory for the new PM to spend time in. Those that will like the King here will like - those that won't, really won't.

Carney rules out agreement with the NDP. Interesting and, perhaps, naive approach to getting parliament to work. He needs a stable, predictable base to negotiate from. Worrying about every confidence vote (throne speech, budget, etc) is not that. Curious.

Never listened much to Nickleback or held strong opinions - until now. Rocking out with Kid Rock on the Rock the Country festival described as a 'gathering for the true heart of America.'? Gross. Seriously. Read the room. Country. vancouversun.com/entertainment/…

This is just wrong. The Infrastructure Projects Act is about reducing redundancies (not standards) on critical infrastructure projects like schools and hospitals — projects Rustad failed to invest in when he was in government — so that they can be built faster for communities.

BC will be a clean energy super power. By building on our competitive advantages to grow communities, industry and create thousands of family-supporting jobs in the process.

Breaking: Don Davies named interim leader for the NDP. After some incredibly tough losses in the last campaign, excellent decision by the NDP is the right step in the rebuild. Don & the caucus will be focused & united to pave the way for a new leader. theglobeandmail.com/politics/artic…

Our deep thanks to Don Davies for taking on the pivotal role of interim leader of the NDP in this critical moment. It's vital that working people have a strong, clear voice in Parliament — and Don's just the person to ensure we have one. BC Federation of Labour #bclab

I've known Don Davies for 20 yrs & he's always been incredibly smart, thoughtful & principled in work & life. The NDP couldn't ask for a better person to work across party lines & prepare the ground for the next leader. Hugely important times. #cdnpoli globalnews.ca/news/11165745/…
