A sincere, and sincerely powerful, reminder of the unique importance of genre stories.

I kiiiinda do? There are moments and scenes in the original that I absolutely treasure, but overall there's something about the remake that just works like gangbusters for me. It's like the original is a nightmare you had as a child and the remake is one you have as an adult.

I am such a simple creature. It starts getting hot outside and I just wanna sit on a rock, weeping with joy.

It just occurred to me that the MARY audiobook might break 1K reviews at some point. This delights me to no end, primarily because they all agree that the narrator, Susan Bennett, gives one of the best audiobook performances of all time. She deserves all the acclaim possible.

I'm working on the pitch for what I hope will be my next book and it begins with a small, but disastrous, ruling handed down by a corrupt Supreme Court. Isn't fiction fun?
