Sumatra's Manuscript Cultures selamat datang di Palembang, semoga kehadirannya bisa memacu kemajuan pengkajian manuskrip di Palembang dan Sumatera Selatan.

Taking part in celebrating manuscript cultures of Palembang and collective memory, Dr Mulaika Hijjas presented what we study from the royal library of Palembang Sultanate including codicological features, multilinguality and intellectual culture in the 17th-19th century.

We are indebted to manuscript owners, Kemas Andi Syarifuddin and Sultan Fauwaz Diraja in Palembang, for allowing us to study their collection. Knowledge exchange will continue as our research agenda, such as Jawi Gotong Royong led by Dr Mulaika Hijjas, editing Syair Jaran Tamasa.
