We recently unveiled a new sculpture at Welsh Harp (Brent Reservoir) ⚓ Created by artist Phil Neal with local school involvement, its design celebrates the reservoir's SSSI status, as well as incorporating pulley wheels and chains that operated the sluices until last year.

The Birmingham Canal Navigations (BCN) is the most intricate canal network in the country. The canals were the life-blood of Victorian Birmingham. They were so busy that gas lighting was installed beside the locks to permit 24-hour operation. Tell us your BCN stories below 👇
