15th April 2023 forever etched in our memories.I moved back to Sudan in 2013 determined to never leave again, ten years later a militia & an army would force millions of us to leave. The war hasn’t stopped & doesn’t look like it will anytime soon.

Today, April 15, marks one year since the war in Sudan began. As a result of fighting between the RSF and SAF, well over 16,000 have been killed and nearly 8.5 million have been displaced from their homes.

Holding the people of Sudan in my heart today. We owe them so much more.

I was going to my 3rd shelter in central Gaza when I learned displaced people were trying to return to Gaza City. I joined them, only to be forcibly expelled again. We were met with Israeli artillery & naval shelling. I headed back to my new shelter, dozens were killed & injured

A reminder that Israel has dropped 70,000 tonnes of explosives on Gaza killing 34,000 people - inc. 14,000 children - and displacing 85% of the population. None of the bombs (many of which were dropped with the support/funding/sales from US govt & UK companies) were intercepted.
