It's such an honor to be featured in this The New Yorker Talk of the Town article from Meg Bernhard about escapades boating on Lake Manly in Death Valley this winter. It was an utterly unique experience, so glad it's been immortalized!

Wow it was such an honor to be featured on Science Friday talking about my favorite subject, wildflowers! 🌼
Thank you for the opportunity to share the joy of flowers. They not only fill our heats, but they also sustain life in some of the harshest ecosystems in the world. 💚
Catch me today (4/12) on Science Friday! We'll be talking about California wildflowers. Will there or won't there be a superbloom and why?🌼🌸🌷
Position open at Atlanta Botanical Garden to help manage our U.S. National Science Foundation RAMP Rare Plants training grant. Great job to help coordinate mentoring of early career scientists in plant conservation, in a collaborative, inclusive atmosphere recruiting.paylocity.com/recruiting/job…
Great story in Nevada Current today from Jennifer Solis about the controversy over lithium mining near Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge. She really highlights the voices of local residents and the Timbisha Tribe who would be most directly affected.

Penstemon albomarginatus is a deep rooted dune plant that occurs in AZ, CA & NV. It was recently petitioned to be listed under the federal ESA by the Center for Biological Diversity due to many threats. The pops in San Bernardino County, CA are dwindling due to habitat degradation and drought.
