Fresh from their TV debut on Friday, our choir gave a fantastic performance at our Carol Service today. They were joined on the altar of our local Church by a variety of our students sharing the Christmas story to guide us all into Christmas week.CEIST

Some Christmas cheer to end our school year 2024. Our students enjoyed some Christmas arts and crafts and even had a visit from Santa as they found presents by their fireplace centrepiece.

Huge congratulations to our 1st year soccer team who travelled to Dungarvan earlier today and came away with a 3-2 win in extra time.  It was a hard fought and exhilarating game which started off with our goalkeeper stepping up to save a penalty!

Another historic day for us today as we played our first boys basketball match! Well done to all involved, a great effort was put in. We were unfortunate to not come away with a win, with only a 4 point trail behind Bishopstown Community School.

Our new school chess team had a fantastic first tournament this week. Students proudly represented the school and were successful in 4 games. They are already looking forward to their next event and will be using the experience gained to build on this success.

Hard luck to our 1st year soccer team today who were narrowly defeated in a 2-1 score line to Hazlewood College in the Collins Cup (round of last 10 in Munster). Well done to get this far lads. All of us at NNC are so proud of ye.

Congratulations to 1B students Shania O Regan 1st, Alana Leahy 2nd and Darragh Carolan 3rd place for Nano Nagle College in the 1st Year IMTA Maths Competition.

Our return to school this morning was with very exciting, with part of our school now an active building site as our multi million euro refurbishment and reconfiguration has begun.Exciting times ahead for Nano Nagle College with these new state of the art facilities.CEIST

Another great win today for our first years vs. St Patrick’s College. Some outstanding performances from many of our players today. A special mention to Cormac who scored 13 points as well as Jayden S who showed great hustle on defence.

Huge congratulations to our first year boys on their Semi-Final win today vs. Bishopstown Community School with a score line of 30-16. We saw significant scores from Cormac and Christopher and astounding defence by Anthony, Jadyn S and Nathan against a very competitive side.

Yesterday, we welcomed a delegation of Dutch school principals to our school.Our students and staff collaborated with the visitors and shared their views on the Irish school system and the positive transformation and experiences in Nano Nagle College.NAPD CEIST

On Wednesday, three of our 5th year students, Candice, Gabriele, Adriana went to DCU campus in Dublin to attend the Ceist conference accompanied by their teachers Ms. O’Donoghue and Ms. Ryan Ceist
