Today at the Climate and Health Africa Conference 2024 #CHAC2024 , our colleagues presented cutting-edge insights into the intersection of climate and health. We are proud to support impactful work, we look forward to seeing the outcomes from the conference. #ClimateHealth

#CHAC2024 seeks to address the pressing need to confront the harmful effects of climate change on health. MLW is sharing some of our current work including a community engagement project on engaging with communities to understand their lived experiences with climate change.

This week, I had the privilege of attending the inaugural Climate and Health Africa conference in Zimbabwe #CHAC2024. The conference featured compelling talks on climate change research in Africa, & we showcased our photovoice project on climate change & health in Malawi.

The Harare Declaration #CHAC2024

It would be a gross error to not applaud Fortunate Machingura Ph.D. Chair of this Conference. A well delivered one, Doc. It it was a baby, then the Apgar score at the first minute was 9/10 Signing out from #CHAC2024

Dr Chifundo RNM, Ph.D. and I contributed a chapter to this book. Admittedly, writing for a book is different from a manuscript. But, here we are, it's done and dusted. Our chapter focuses on structural issues in accessing PMTCT in Malawi. SDoH are like confounders in research.

From one author to the other: Avoid the use of words like "this" "it" especially in a sentence that doesn't define what is meant by this or it... rather state them for optimal clarity

Manuscript writing. The introduction section sets the scene. What is the broad area of your research.. what is already known? What is the gap? Why is the gap important? How does your proposed study differ from previous studies?

The methods section/the path you took. The methods section answers the question: What did I do? A step-by-step of what you did. Add rationale, reasons, & justifications of steps taken. Provide enough information 4 one to follow the same path and arrive at the same destination

Discussion section - position ur study in existing literature and tell a reader the similarities and differences with citations. Aka, taking me and placing me within my clan and explaining how I am related to each one or showing where we differ. Situate me properly

Please STOP fixing students by overworking yourself. I see too many professors burn out because they believe every outburst, crisis, or confrontation is their personal responsibility. If you’re dealing with difficult students, do this instead:
