This gland lacks a myoepithelial layer—should we call it microinvasive cancer? No. Why? Because we assess in 2D, but glands are 3D. The plane of section may miss myoepithelial cells. Loss of p63 doesn’t always mean cancer. See last slide of independent p63 #breastpath

Fibroadenoma (cellular) vs benign phyllodes tumor If you have a fibroepithelial lesion that defies a final categorization after evaluating all the morphologic criteria (see pic 1) you can call it "benign fibroepithelial neoplasm/lesion" Dr Tan - Challenging Fibroepithelial

In high-income countries, breast cancer 5-year survival is 90%+. India: 66% South Africa: 40% If trends continue, cases & deaths will rise 40% by 2050. Where a woman lives should never decide if she survives. #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth

If there’s one thing I wish I had done differently when I was hit by a stroke last January, it would be to go to the hospital immediately, within the Golden Hour (<4.5 hours), instead of thinking I could just sleep it off. This “nothing will happen to me” attitude is common,
