The fate of a wound depend on tissue size & mechanics. We show that using the vertex model and validate with expts. Our work with ESoftBio Lab ( Tapa Lab @NCBS ) group of Tapomoy Bhattacharjee is out in Physical Review E . Congrats NANDHU KRISHNA BABU & padmanabh!! Link: bit.ly/4fD5POF Teaser: bit.ly/4g2n9Mv

New Collab with Sayantan Dutta from IIT Bombay is out Physical Review E. NANDHU KRISHNA BABU National Centre for Biological Sciences has theoretically demonstrated that a wound in an epithelial monolayer can undergo three distinct phases of closure. Sreepadmanabh M validated these experimentally. 1/5 tinyurl.com/babun1

#NewPublicationAlert! NANDHU KRISHNA BABU from Tapomoy Bhattacharjee's lab & team show how wound geometry & tissue mechanics predict healing outcomes in epithelial monolayers in their latest Physical Review E study. Read here: bit.ly/3AOh6fV Congratulations to the team! 👏 Sreepadmanabh M SERB

#ResearchExplained! A recent study from ESoftBio Lab ( Tapa Lab @NCBS ) lab has uncovered a surprising insight into the mechanics of #woundhealing: the closure of wounds is subject to geometric limitations in the absence of tissue proliferation. Read here: bit.ly/3DjJWpk ✏️Rupsy Khurana

It's my first published work. Very excited. Working with Archishman and Shaon Chakrabarti is very exciting. Thanks for the amazing mentorship. Read Shaon's thread to get a glimpse of our work if you are interested.
