Gratitude to Inter-Religious Council of Uganda for hosting us during an interractive discussion at their office yesterday. It was a pleasure presenting what TopowaYouthUGanda does and programs that empower the youth to make right choices in life. We are grateful and look forward to more interactions.
Today, 19th August 2024, Inter-Religious Council of Uganda held compassionate, solidarity, and memorial interfaith prayers for and offered support to the survivors & victims of the Kiteezi garbage slide at the Kiteezi Church of Uganda Primary School grounds, where a temporary camp has been set up.
The All Africa Conference of Churches organized a two-day training for religious leaders in Uganda, focusing on advocacy for peace and social cohesion in Kampala with Inter-Religious Council of Uganda & the Inter-Religious Council for Eastern Africa as hosts.
HAPPENING NOW: The African Council of Religious Leaders, in collaboration with Inter-Religious Council of Uganda, is training inter-faith youths from South Sudan, Uganda, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Kenya, and Burundi in mediation and conflict transformation with the aim of creating skilled youth mediators and advocates for peace.
The three-day African Council of Religious Leaders supported Regional Faith-Based Mediation and Conflict Transformation Training for interfaith youth from Eastern Africa concluded in Kampala with a call for young people to become advocates for peace in their communities.
The Interfaith Women of Uganda, under Inter-Religious Council of Uganda, have concluded a one-day advocacy training workshop in Kampala aimed at sharpening their skills in championing issues affecting their communities and driving positive change. The training was supported by African Council of Religious Leaders.
Youth leaders from Inter-Religious Council of Uganda member organizations have successfully completed an advocacy training program facilitated by African Council of Religious Leaders. The training has empowered the youth to champion positive change in their communities.
Inter-Religious Council of Uganda in partnership with the Family Life Network, INT Uganda and Watoto Church had a fruitful stakeholder breakfast meeting regarding the agenda to defend the family and the next generation. The convener of the breakfast meeting was Archbishop Stephen Kaziimba
Inter-Religious Council of Uganda was honoured to participate in the International Inter-Religious Conference in Addis Ababa on Nov 4-5, 2024 in which a declaration for tolerance, peace, and unity was made. It provided a platform for interfaith dialogue, spreading values of tolerance, and peace.
