Some of the new Bioconductor packages that caught my eye. There are way more great new contributions than I can cover, do check the full list here for your topics of interest: bioconductor.org/news/bioc_3_12… x.com/mikelove/statu…

The difference between doing a project and presenting it. An observation can lead to many avenues of explorations before focus turns to a specific discovery. Presenting it, in a talk / paper, follows inversely, with broad perspectives coming before & after the specific discovery.

I'm probably late to the party, but just stumbled upon contributions.bioconductor.org, a Webpage gathering all the info for submitting new packages to #Bioconductor. Great initiative 🙏, hope I will be needing this soon!

Mike Kearney, Ph.D.📊 I honestly used this. executeprogram.com/courses/regexe… I used it when it wasn't fancy at all. It sends you reminders to do exercises. They feel fresh every time you do them. After some time, you retain a good subset of tricks, and really, it makes you able to use it on every day basis.

In this blog post, I use our #Bioinformatics #Python tool STalign to align 2 Visium #SpatialTranscriptomics datasets. Since I prefer working in #Rstats I use reticulate to interface with Python from RStudio. Try it out for yourself: jef.works/blog/2023/11/0… #codetutorials

Recently, we held the first #scverse SpatialData 3-day hackathon in Basel (Switzerland), where we brought together 20 developers from the Python, R, and web communities to work on interoperability, performance, and ergonomics for spatial omics data. Here is what we worked on!
