Exactly 93 years ago, Steponas Darius and Stasys Girėnas bought a Bellanca CH-300 airplane for $3,000, later renaming it "Lituanica," and flew across the Atlantic Ocean without intermediate landings in 1933. Unfortunately, they crashed in Soldin, Poland, not reaching Kaunas.
