The priorities of youth sports should not be about performance pressure & winning at all costs. The priorities of youth sports should be about kids developing into better humans & having a blast competing with their friends.

When does it end? When there are no officials? Then what? Everyone needs to realize we are at a turning point. Many officials are quitting, and it’s getting more difficult to find new officials in all sports.

Same logic in HS, but lower levels can expect more “alignment help.” By HS varsity the WRs should be able to legally align independently. Note: LOS Officials shouldn’t literally tell a WR to move FWD/BWD. That could lead to false starts & illegal formations.

This is one of those defensive holding calls the deep officials have to see. It impacts speed, rhythm, and footwork, likely causing the QB to unnecessarily work progressions.
