We recently recognized two-year institutional member and 2022 Institutional Excellence recipient NOVAcommcollege in the March edition of our monthly newsletter NADOHE Now. NOVA hired its first CDO in Dec 2020, created a shared governance structure for DEI goals across campus.

Today we spotlight Dr. Dakesa Pina, diversity, equity, and inclusion officer at Illinois State. Dr.Pina is the first college-level DEI officer at the university. She holds a Ph.D in marriage and family therapy, and received the Neal R. Gamsky Quality of Student Life Award.
