Today marks 500 days since the start of the brutal civil war in Sudan. More than 10 million people have been displaced and 25 million face acute hunger. The world cannot look away. We need to increase aid and intensify diplomatic efforts to end the violence and suffering.

Our government’s suspension of 30 arms export licences to Israel is welcome, as is the recognition that they could facilitate serious violations of humanitarian laws. But we must go further and ramp up the pressure for a ceasefire by ending all arms sales to Israel.

I spoke with disabled activists outside Parliament and got my copy of this essential book on DWP-related deaths. It's vital that they are able to speak to MPs about this scandal. Disappointed this didn't happen today, but looking forward to attending a rearranged meeting.

Our response to today's publication of the Grenfell Inquiry Phase 2 Report

The final report of the Grenfell Tower Inquiry has now been published. On this day, we remember the 72 lives lost. This report demonstrates beyond doubt that an agenda of deregulation cost lives. We share the grief and anger of the bereaved, survivors and residents.

As the Grenfell report is published, we must ensure the voices of the survivors and bereaved families are heard. In Parliament, I raised Grenfell United's calls for systemic change: the separation of government from corporate lobbying and action on social and racial injustices.

Thrilled to see this vital green space open in the city centre. Well done to all involved. I can't wait to visit 💚
