Been impressed with the defensive intensity from Dylan Harper against the Mavericks in Las Vegas today. Skied for a block in transition, picked off a pass to earn free throws, and forced a turnover in the backcourt.

Carter Bryant has looked ROUGH on offense just about every time he touches the ball, but he has been a DOG defensively for San Antonio. Clean up the screen navigation, dial in the aggression, refine the jumper, cut down the turnovers, and this kid will be impactful in the NBA.

Dylan Harper records 16 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block in his first game since March 12. Showed off his ability to get downhill with his burst and change pace while giving genuine effort on defense.

Riley Minix has been phenomenal for the Summer League and Austin Spurs, and it would be nice to see him earn a shot with San Antonio. Such a cerebral scorer who understands how to use his body and footwork to find space for shots. Plus such a smart mover off the ball.

Don’t care whether a two-way slot seems inconsequential to some, the Spurs gotta sign David Jones-Garcia like yesterday. The man has more than proven he’s head and shoulders above the Summer League competition, and he would add depth.
