The 8th Edition of the Kireka Open Chess Championship crowned a new champion, Matovu Abel (1946), who bounced back after losing opening game to Kenya's Akhanyinya Toboso. He won the rest on demand, defeating IM Arthur Ssegwanyi and FM Haruna in the tiebreaks to clinch the title!
