MrHodl🟠🤌👍⚡️ 1. Leave OP RETURN alone. 2. Merge this github.com/bitcoin/bitcoi… 3. Merge this github.com/bitcoin/bitcoi… 4. Continue as we always have telling spammers to use what we permitted with 40 bytes of op return or go somewhere else

New vid with response to Antoine Poinsot and Stephan Livera podcast. To save you three hours - where I mostly push back is: 1. 100% spam prevention is *not* our stated goal - this is just a silly straw man. 2. The concerns about filtration are not just overblown, but also conversely

Fix the filters. Act like you actually care about UTXO bloat by giving nodes the option not to relay inscriptions which are easily identifiable. Make it the default, make the spammers adapt or stop being a**holes.

Shinobi Used mini desktops with 6500T CPUs are like $50 on ebay and work great. Agreed - Raspberry Pis are great for GPIO stuff but not for normal computer stuff.

The reality is that they do work most of the time because they add a lot of friction and make undesirable transactions more expensive and slower to propagate and confirm. But they can be bypassed by motivated attackers that are well organized.

It is the purview of nodes to define transaction standardess, a critical service they provide for the health of the Bitcoin

Core Lightning v25.09 “Hot Wallet Guardian” is here! Bookkeeper, first introduced to CLN as a plugin by nifty, btc++ floripa feb 26-28 in 2022, is now fully integrated! It offers real-time visibility into payments, fees, and channel activity, making node management more transparent. 🧵⬇️

The interesting thing here is that Core will use defaults and standardness to enforce rules when they want to. What it means is they could have taken a stance against spam if they wanted to.

So much time wasted due to misrepresentation of a non-problem due to nothing more than lousy software implementation that has been aggressively shielded from competition. Those days are rapidly coming to an end.
