Just now: HISD Supt. Mike Miles praises district for opening 200+ schools today with no significant problems. 54 were closed going into this AM. 3 closed during the day due to AC or other issues. Adds there’s a difference between “uncomfortable” and “unsafe” temps #khou11 KHOU 11 News Houston

Folks have written Joe Biden’s political obituary, trashed it, and have re-written it over and over for years. We know the drill. Yet, they still don’t get that he wins because WE see through the foolishness. And now, with our rights on the line, we’ll make sure he wins AGAIN!

I stand unapologetically with President Biden, because no, he should not drop out. We must not lose focus. Look at what Trump’s Supreme Court has done, look at Project 2025. There is no time to waste. The President will win this fight, and we must have his back. Enough is enough!

Actually, increasing uncertified teachers is the point. In addition to being less effective and more likely to leave, they were never trained to assess curriculum or plan lessons, making them more dependent on (and less critical of) prescribed lessons and instructional models.
