I've just invoked Art.99 of the UN Charter - for the 1st time in my tenure as Secretary-General. Facing a severe risk of collapse of the humanitarian system in Gaza, I urge the Council to help avert a humanitarian catastrophe & appeal for a humanitarian ceasefire to be declared.

It has been repeatedly pointed out but it bears repeating: The key to understanding the election results is paying attention, not to whom people voted for, but what they voted against.

derek guy The confusion is because for most schoolkids in UK a blazer is a sports coat (no metal buttons), almost always in a plain colour and often 6 sizes too big. The etymology of the term and what you'd get if you went to a tailor may be different but modern terminology has shifted
