We're working to restore data while simultaneously doing everything we can to get the service back up to receive new files. We're very about this inconvenience - rest assured that we are doing everything we can to resume service as soon as possible.

Our preferred course of action turned out not to work. We believe the incident to be due to the busiest transcription day in our history, but our provider does not understand what happened, and thus has been unable to recover so far. We're hanging in and doing everything we can.

Incident update: We are now building a data snapshot allowing us to restore all data at a later point. Meanwhile we're getting close to re-allowing uploads of fresh tape.

Incident update: Good Tape is now back online, and we welcome your transcriptions! We're still migrtating data, so old transcriptions might not be available.

We are devastated to have to announce a service interruption. We are doing everything humanly possible to get the service back up and running.

Update: we have identified the issue, which is unrelated to yesterday's issue and out of our hands. Were dependant on a subprocessor to restore their service. Were heartbroken and doing everything we can to restore service. Current ETA < 1hr

Update: service has been restored. We understand that it is not ok to be unavailable, and we are truly heartbroken. We promise to do everything in our power to avoid this.

We are currently performing a scheduled maintenance of our databases. Expect longer queue time for the next hour or so and periods of unavailability. Sorry for the inconvenience - we'll be back stronger and faster!
