A ceremony St.Jerome's University by Elder Myeengun Henry is allowing some community members to reflect on the potential for the healing of Indigenous people in Canada. The event coincides with the Pope’s visit, which will be live-streamed at this event. CBC KW

Participants were asked by Elder Myeengun Henry to take a small bundle of tobacco wrapped in red cloth, fill it with their thoughts going into the Pope’s apology and toss it into the Ceremonial Fire. The sweet smell of medicinal tobacco slowly embraces the ceremony. CBC KW
