JOHNSON says she isn’t meeting w/ MTG again today

Called convos “productive”

“We're working through a lot of ideas and suggestions, as I said, as I do with all members of the conference that’s part of the process here. And so I'm optimistic that we can get to some resolutions”

MTG just left Speaker Johnson’s office after approximately 1.5 hours. She didn’t answer any questions about the motion to vacate.

MTG on War Room: “We’ll see how that meeting goes at 12:30. I have high expectations and they have to be met in full. There is no middle ground, there is no compromise, and Steve, we’ll see what he comes out with.”

MTG is publicly confirming her requests for Speaker Johnson on Steve Bannon's War Room right now:

- Obey the Hastert Rule
- No more funding for Ukraine
- Defund special counsel Jack Smith
- Pass 12 separate appropriations bills, if they don't do that then impose a 1% cut

Rep. Warren Davidson (R-Ohio) says he’ll vote against tabling MTG’s vacate resolution — but that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s in favor of Johnson’s ouster.

“I think the motion to table shouldn’t be in order. Shouldn’t be able to shortcut a privileged resolution.”

Speaker Johnson told Republicans during the closed-door GOP conference meeting this AM that he met with MTG and Massie yesterday, but he didn’t disclose further details.

“He was very specific that he wouldn’t share any details of the conversation,” Mike Garcia said.

Trump is usually a kingmaker in Senate GOP primaries. But for once his endorsement may have the exact opposite effect as it could give John Curtis a real leg up in Utah & further muddle a three-way conservative lane. On one of the under-the-radar races 👇🏼
