Dave Wales returns back to the podium to give updates on medical benefits. Starting with an update from Blue Cross/Blue Shield which is a health support tool to avoid and manage critical conditions.

Wales: PEEHIP currently contracts with ExpressScripts. Pharmacies who accept ExpressScripts reduces drug costs to PEEHIP by at least 33%. Rebates obtained by ExpressScripts are returned directly to PEEHIP.

Thomas reminds members who use United Healthcare to watch their mail in the coming months for new ID cards, which removes an old number used for Telehealth. Cards should be delivered in November. If members do not receive cards at that time, they can still use their old card.

The matter of business at today’s meeting to transfer up to $118 million for FY26. Motion was called and carried unanimously. Meeting is now adjourned. Now, we move on to the TRS Board of Control Meeting, which also has a quorum to conduct business.

We now hear elections updates from Jo Moore. There are currently six positions up for elections this year. Ballots will go out to members in November with a return date in January. The run-off election will be held in March 2025.
