Great to be at the British Red Cross 🧡 Crisis and Emergency response conference. Over 100 volunteers, staff and partners talking about how we can better help people and communities prepare, respond and recover when crisis or emergencies happen. Truly inspiring people.

Chris Davies, our Head of Crisis Response said: "They will provide practical and emotional support at this vital time. This could include cash-based assistance or something as simple as a cup of tea and someone to listen to them." We will be there for as long as we're needed.

Thanks to all our volunteer teams who have deployed in the UK and our PST who we have deployed abroad offering psychosocial support. Also a massive thanks to our ops teams behind the scenes making this happen.

A very special day today. Feeling very privileged to be invited and to represent the amazing work the British Red Cross 🧡 volunteers and staff achieved during COVID.

Volunteers are at the heart of what we do. From attending house fires, to delivering education or wheelchairs (and so much more - it’s a long list!). Put simply they make the Red Cross what it is. Thank you to every single one of you, you are amazing in your selflessness. ❤️

So, after 6 amazing years my time at the British Red Cross 🧡 has come to an end. What an incredible journey, 5 million people reached in the last 3 years alone responding to the biggest crisis of our time. Thanks to everyone at the BRC and anyone who has been part of my journey.

What a week. When I landed in Seoul over a week ago no one expected what unfolded. It’s simple, safety is our number 1 priority. Now UK Scouts will have a different but amazing time discovering an alternative Jamboree and what else S. Korea has to offer. youtu.be/eDG6pPK-q6w

We're two years on from when we first launched our YouShape Award. Now we're excited to introduce it to Squirrels, our youngest section. Izzie, our Deputy UK Youth Commissioner for Perception, tells us the plans: bit.ly/3rCWNNQ
