It’s heartbreaking to see war intensified when people of all faiths believe God is on their side. Nothing justifies violence. We need compassion, and not division.

In war, people die. Innocent lives are lost in the crossfire. These aren't just numbers, they're human beings, each with dreams, memories, and stories that will never be told. Their hopes are buried with them, quietly lost to history.

Afghans know better than many the toll war takes. They’ve lived through decades of conflict, watching loved ones disappear, and entire generations grow up with more loss than peace. War doesn’t just break buildings, it breaks hearts, families, and hope.

War begins where diplomacy fails, yet only diplomacy can bring lasting peace. In war, all parties fail, and in the end, peace is the only victory worth pursuing.

In the absence of a legitimate government in Afghanistan, we must all call on UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency to initiate urgent negotiations with Iranian authorities to ensure the humane treatment and resettlement of Afghan refugees and migrants before this humanitarian crisis spirals out of control.
