Very interesting visit to Prestwick Airport today with Economy and Fair Work Committee. 2 takeaways from our conversations:
1. Despite being owned by Scottish Government, staff are not guaranteed the real living wage, despite Scottish Government wanting to enforce this on all contractors to the public sector (1/2)

2. The biggest concern raised with us was the income tax differential between Scotland and rUK, making it impossible to recruit skilled aircraft engineers from rUK. This is holding back expansion of aircraft repair & maintenance facilities (2/2)
