The Church of St Nicholas in Mdina, Malta, with what looks like a ‘leper’s peep’ from the days when leprosy was widely misunderstood. I worked in a leprosy clinic (in India) in the 1980s

A poignant day for this, with captives being freed in Israel & Palestine, & remembering with great sorrow the pity of war. What are our spheres of influence? How do we respond to conflict and difference? 📍Southwark Cathedral is a vast and inclusive space; you will be welcome

For justice & peace activities, I like to wear the Hubert Walter medal awarded to me a few years ago by Archbishop of Canterbury. The scarab was his emblem from time in the Middle East - and I like beetles, too.

Special evening at Southwark Cathedral with the Community of the Cross of Nails and St Ethelburgha’s. A privilege to speak against hatred and the power of shared humanity. Plus a visit from the local cat.

I saw the power that the 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿team had to bring people together. But often the focus is on division. It’s understandable why people are disaffected- economically lots of areas are in really tough situations. So that is going to force people to want change. Gareth Southgate #r4today

Jewish folk are lighting the 1st candle of Chanukah. At church we lit a rose candle for Advent 3. We prayed for everyone who was at #BondiBeach. Simi Bennett Ben Hur wrote “Show us your lights. When people try and inflict their hatred on the world, show your love and light.”
